Cheap, CLEAN, single person apartments near mac
And I mean it by clean. Preferably new.
I can't ****ing take it in this house.
My roomates are DISGUSTING.
There are fruitflies EVERYWHERE. Not just 1 or 2. SWARMS of them.
There are dead flies on the ground.
There are these weird red, tiny, flying bugs in our bathroom.
I'm gonna ****ing lose my mind.
I'm paying 400 bucks + utilities right now. (About 450-460 total per month, I think).
Is there anything in the area? I guess there are no actual nice apartment buildings nearby? I've never seen any.
It's so ****ing gross here. And I thought I had low standards. ._.

Off Campus Resource Center has a pretty useful search tool for finding housing: http://macoffcampus.mcmaster .ca/cl...eds/search.php.
Its how I found my current place.
If you signed a lease already though, it might make things difficult for leaving your current house though.

Thanks for the link, Andrew.
I plan on subletting it. We're allowed to. ^^

Westmount towers was nice, with lots of single person suites but it's a bit of a trek from campus.

Yeah I know people who live in the Westmont towers and it's nice, you can get pretty nice view too if you live in one of the upper floors.

I don't have pictures of Westmount, but my friend's apartment was really nice. It had hardwood floors, really clean (probably because it was an old lady's apartment before she passed away) - white walls. Lots of cabinet space in the kitchen. The bathroom was a bit small though and the water pressure wasn't the best.
These people: http://www.efforttrust.ca/Listings/Hamilton-West/ pretty much own most of the Apartment complexes around Mac. There are a few near the Barn (Camelot, I think and another one a bit further down).

You're not going to find nice single bedroom apartments for cheap.
There is a whole cluster of apartments at whitney and mericourt. Bus stops are close by, 10 min ride to campus.

I've concluded that it's the people who are dirty.
I've never had to do a chore in my entire life, and I can clean up better than these people. ._.

If you plan on living in an apartment by yourself, it's going to be expensive. Bachelors (which are usually the cheapest) start at like $500-$600. :(

It always depends on the people.
I would recommend looking for a place with a relatively small number of other people 2-4, and making sure that they have chores worked out and things like that.
PS. cutting the top off a pop bottle and inverting it and putting some juice in there really kills the fruit flies
