Pita Pit is extremely expensive for the size of meal you get. It is easily $6+ for even the basic Pita, I really don't like that place.

Basilique is $5 for Chicken Shawarma, they also have cheapish fries and garlic bread. Their basic Cheese Pizza at 6.99 is slightly on the expensive side but tastes MUCH better then Ginos. I've never had Falafel or Donair but they are as cheap as the Shwarma(or maybe even lesser).

The Cedars place on Main street isn't expensive as well($4-6) but they have short hours.

Jimmy Gringo's in west dale near that Coffee Place has a 5.75+tax thing for a small burrito which isn't that bad. Their awesome Quesidilla though recently had a price bump to 7.99+ tax :(

Little Caesars was by far the best value with their $5 Pizza but it has recently closed :(

Gino's is 5.99 for a Medium Pepperoni or Cheese.

Subway ends up being the cheapest/non sketchy food with their $4-5 6 Inch's

Or If you go before 8pmish you can get cheap hot food from the Metro Kitchen thingie. I got like 4 Chicken Fingers and a Potato Wedges for 3.03+1.99 and they taste much better then the Hospitality stuff.

The CHEAPEST meal though is 2 for $3 Jamaican Patties at House of Games in the student center basement(Or their booth near Timmies) or a Jamaican Patty+Pop+Sandwich for $4. They even have Chili but I forgot the price(its like $3-4). All including taxes.

Plus they have these Indian & East Asian Snacks(Chips+Candy+Co okies plus other stuff that can't be categorized) that are a good change from the stuff at Soviet Union Market. I spend a ridiculous amount of money on those Pocky thingies(Pretzel sticks with Chocolate dipping) & Spicy Flavoured Jellies

They are also open till 4am during Exam period!

However if you are willing to go downtown there are a couple of places I would recommend. #1 is National Pizza & Wings in Gore Park which has a medium 1 topping for $4.79 and #2 Eat a Pita On King Street next to Tim Hortons which has the best tasting Pitas EVER for $3.50-5

The one on Upper Ottawa closed down?

Sad. No more crazy bread for people in Hamilton unless they drive to Burlington.

Little Caesars love.*

*I may or may not work for Little Caesars.

There was a Little Caesars in Westdale? When?

The only one I knew of in Hamilton is on Upper Ottawa. I guess that one is still opened then. Also according to the website there's a handful more in the area too. Too bad the Westdale one is gone.

Oh man if I ever knew there was one in Westdale I would have walked there for Crazy Bread.

I actually hate Little Caesar's pizza, but I love the Crazy Bread. I don't know if they did it in Hamilton as well, but in Bowmanville there was a certain time of day where you could get 2 bags for 4 dollars. I'd always buy like 8 bags

They do 2 for 1 Crazy Bread between 2-4 pm at the one I work at.

I get it for $1.05 anytime though as an employee. Yay employee discount.

Lol there was a Little Caesars in Westdale all of last year and this year until probably a week or two ago :S (Looking at its franchise awards I have a feeling it was around from even before 2008!)

I never really liked Crazy Bread; It was usually too oily and seemed quite pointless as a type of food :S

Soft delicious bread with garlic and cheese flavour is pointless?

Tsk, tsk.

Huzaifa, thanks for the most concise list of cheap places to eat, I am willing to bus it for some food from time to time, so I will definately try Eat a Pita downtown.

If anyone here ever goes out to nova scotia(anywhere in the maritimes really, and possibly Newfoundland as well), you should definatly try the garlic fingers, it is just a big pizza of garlic fingers. Make sure to try the super semen looking donair sauce. Just try it. The donair sauce is a strictly east coast thing, most places outside of the eastcoast dont have it.

				Try Basilique

1065 King Street West Hamilton, ON L8S 1L8
(905) 296-0345
You can get a big pizza slice and a pop for less than $4.
Good thing about them is that their taste and the way they make the pizza is unique. If you like it, you will probably go there every week. Try it out. Its 5 min walk from the campus.

Well Donair Is actually middle eastern by origin, so you should be able to find it anywhere I'm assuming?

The best deal of all time for me is the 3.99(they were even 3.49 once!) delicciosso or Kraft frozen pizza deals at Metro or Fortinos from time to time, you just have to keep an eye out for them. I usually buy 9-10 and stock them up. They are large size pizzas so you can have them for two meals!

Yeah, the Ristorante ones were on for 3.99 a few weeks ago, but they're thin crust and not as big... I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for those!

I should start checking the Metro flyers then, lol. Generally I just shop at Fortino's, but if its that good of a deal I'd definitely stop by.
