Cheapest Rogers Phone Plan?
I wish to get an iPhone, but the cheapest voice plan I see on Rogers.com is $30/month. Is there any plan that's cheaper?
(I don't need any data plan, but need something better than Pay As You Go)

Don't you have to get a Data Plan if you use a BB or iPhone?

Only if you get the phone straight from Rogers, and even then you can just pay the $100 to cancel the data plan.
I don't think Rogers has any plans cheaper than $30. Fido, however, does and if you can get your iPhone from somewhere else, you should be able to stick any SIM card in it and it'll work.

Yeah, I was also considering this.
I posted on other forums, and apparently many companies won't activate the iPhone if you dont get a data plan with them

What's the point of an iphone if you don't get the data plan?
Let's be honest here, it's a big piece of shit. I mean, it's durable as hell but it's a big piece of shit.

The Apps? Internet (wifi)? Its like a Touch, except as a phone with any plan you want.
Id consider it if I could find a good place to buy an unlocked iPhone

Yeah, you're better off getting a cheap-ish BB that can do everything, and getting an ipod touch if you still have a shitty ipod. iPhone bills are too much.
That's what I'm going to do, hopefully, if my parents get me an ipod touch for my birthday. ... They must! ;_;
Also, yes, no point in getting an iPhone if you're not going with data. You wouldn't be paying for the full 'experience'.

It was a rhetorical question. I have one. ;P And if you've ever seen mine, you'd understand why I just said they're durable as heck. Haha. xD

Lol.
The thing is, if your iPhone is unlocked, you can get a nice cheap plan. As for data usage, just use WiFi! Its good enough.

I'm with Bell and I have the BB Pearl... you don't have to have a data plan =)
Though I did get bugged quite a lot during the shopping period about getting data! Bell isn't the greatest company... so I'm pretty sure Rogers would be more than willing... lol

You can't.
My mom just got some deals on her account, but only because she's been with Rogers since 1984. Yup, 26 years.
My phone is still ridiculous, but it's a little bit better now that I took off Call Display (that was like 8 bucks a month) and got unlimited texting with my plan. (I have a BB 8520; might want to consider this phone instead if anyone's thinking of switching.)

My contract with Telus expires in November, and I was looking @ Koodo, they got some nice deals. But, if Telus will match/beat Koodo, ill just stay with them. I gotta check with them if they would be willing to have this current plan on an iPhone..

The thing with Koodo, and Wind, is that they have a good plans, but not a big selection of phones.

Very true.
Wind is kind of weird, with their "AWAY" and "WIND" zones. Seems like where I am right now is a "WIND" zone, but if i walk like 10mins away from my house, im in an "AWAY" zone. :s
