chem 20a3 average
What is the average for this class like on midterms/finals etc.? How difficult is it?

You should check out the course review for this, really helpful! But I think this year, the averages from midterms were around 60-68% and the exam around 63%...

The reason for low average for this course is not because of difficulty, it's because a lot of people are taking this course because they need to (program, med school etc) whether they like chemistry or not.

This is one of the easiest 2nd year chemistry course you can find at Mac.

Took it with Stover last year. From what I recall, there was only one midterm. The average was mid 60ish (don't remember exactly)? The final was a borderline 50 (possibly failing). In any case, people ended up complaining (as usual), and marks were shifted until the class average was acceptable.

In my opinion, 2OA3 was not a difficult course. Others will disagree. I also found 2OB3 to be slightly easier when I took it with Capretta (also last year).
