Chem orgo vs chem bio orgo
Hey I'm wondering what's the difference, if any, between the two? Chem bio takes either orgos and the courses have the exact same course descriptions. Is the difference just a smaller class size for chem bio orgo since it's only open to chem bio students?

I'm pretty they just created a second course to make sure all Chem Bio kids get into the same lab section. The lectures are with the same prof in the same room at the same time.

Since it's not cross-listed they probably go more in-depth in certain areas, learn specific things related to their program. That's just my guess though. It doesn't make sense to have 2 different courses if the same material was taught the same way.

Chem bio students aren't allowed to register for the chem orgo. Probably to make things easier.

On the course calender it says chem bio requires 6 units from CHEM 2OA3, 2OB3, CHEM BIO 2OA3, 2OB3, why would that be the case if we can't register in chem orgos? I'm pretty sure I'm looking at the correct course calender.

No, it's literally the same course with two different names.
Just like Life Science/ Biology 2B03 are both the same course at the same time in the same room. The ONLY thing that's different for Chem Bio is they're in Lab 10 (without a choice) while the rest of the science students can choose from 1-9.

Thanks to the shitiness of SOLAR, it's probably easier for them to create a new course than to try and move around kids to get all the Chem Bios in one lab.

It probably has to do with the chembio students' scheduling with other program courses.
