The requirements to get into chembio are here:

I also got into chembio after only taking 1LS3, so unless they change the requirements, it shouldn't be a problem.
However, they used to require 1A03+1AA3, and it's possible that they'll go back to that if they decided that we were really lacking in math skills. Many chembio kids took 1AA3 and/or 1B03 as electives anyways, though. I'm not sure why you were told they require 1A03...maybe email them back and ask why the course calendar says something different?
Within the physical science departments (chem/chembio, physics/astronomy, medical physics) there's a huge bias against the 'life sci' versions of physical sci courses...such as math 1LS3 and physics 1L03. They'll always encourage you to take math 1A03 and physics 1B03, but unless they're changing things, it shouldn't be a requirement. Your best bet is to email back for clarification
