Mix CDs can be good if the person's into music, but put some thought into it. Maybe a Christmas mix CD?

Even just some nice cards with personalized messages can go a long way. Just put some thought into whatever it is... You could give somebody a car but it wouldn't mean much if they couldn't drive. Something smaller can easily show them that they mean something to you

How about for your parents you rummage through any photos you have with your family together, print it out nice (yourself or maybe underground..) then buy a cheap, but nice looking frame and give them that with a nice card. Parents tend to miss their kids when away (assuming you dont commute).

Maybe for the sibling $15 gift card to iTunes, Tims or something...

I must say, I'm tempted, but I'm pretty stocked up at the moment. There's also the health education centre upstairs... hm.

i decided to make some homemade gifts this year for my close friends. cookies, cupcakes and homemade facial and body scrubs. cheaper (in comparison to store bought stuff), simple to make and more personalized. all you need is some time and a few ingredients. oh and Google.

There are a lot of cheap and decent diy gift ideas on pinterest. and I believe that there's going to be an art market on locke street on dec. 8th, not sure if the prices there are cheaper or more expensive than store-made merch, but worth a look.

Hey so, this is a really cute idea to make candles - probably for your mom at least.
Just go to the thrift store and get cute old teacups, and candles - melt the candles into the teacups and somehow get the wick in the middle, and youve got an adorable candle made by you!
Here's a link to where i saw it...you might have to scroll down a bit, but yeah.
