classes start tomorrow bro, you can always scroll down when you're on the macinsiders homepage and see the schedules of events and other stuff, it says it there as well

Tomorrow (Thursday). Only cores. No tutorials or labs will run at least for this week. They might starting next week such as CS 1BA3.

And I've had a lab on the first day of term before. But the OP was asking about first year courses, and for first years, they don't start at least until you've had a lecture.
