i clickers & aplia
Can I use one I>CLICKER for 2 courses; commerce 1PA0 & sociol 1A06? Only asking because the i clicker is the same for both courses and I'd like to cut down on costs.
If I buy aplia seperately, how much does it cost in Titles?

Hi Sync! Sorry but i've never used I-clicker soo no idea what that is. I took ECON 1B03 and I don't think you can buy aplia by itself in Titles...it's bundled with the econ txtbook. You can purchase it online tho, which I believe is cheaper, and it comes with an online txtbook, so you wouldn't need to buy the textbook either (if you're okay with reading from the computer). The prof should explain this all first day of classes.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

it looks like that. just a clicker where you will get to use when answering quesitons in class, m/c. you can see the A, B, C buttons there. That way the prof can see if the class really understand the concepts and if they don't, they will clarify more, etc.

if you go to titles website and it says you are requied to buy it then yes they will be used for in class quizes. for physics for example, the in class quiz wasn't worth alot though like 5%? and you would use these to do it in class. so its important to go to class.

How does the quiz work, is it like an overhead and the class does it at the same time? If so, how much time between questions?

you usually don't get that many per class. and not every class you will get it. depends on the prof really.. just prof posts the question on overhead. you get like a few minutes to think about it. its more like concept questions and not really anything calculating for phyiscs. just to make sure ppl get hte concepts. then you answer the question by clicking the button and hte prof would get all the results and see how many ppl got it right/wrong. then from that they will know if they need to clarify the concepts. everyone does it at the same time. they are usually questions you should be able to get in like 1-2 minutes.

My econ 1bb3 prof told the class that the iclicker was manufactured by Apple "the same people who make your ipod, iphone..."
...
...it's not, right?

If it was. there would have been a massive ad campaign featuring a trendy and hip looking guy and a nerd. Plus it would be all sleek and round and would only have one button (that can do everything).
it would also somehow plug into your mac....
But yeah, I asked if titles had any used ones, but they didn't have any on hand because of the massive demand, so if anyone wants to sell theirs (or knows of someone who does) give me a shout
