Clubfest 2010
just wanted to clarify if whether only students who registered for welcome week were allowed to attend clubfest this sept 8 or is it open to all students (even those who may not have registered for welcome week or have macpass)

Anyone can go to Clubsfest. Its all just tables set up inside and outside of the Student Centre. Each table features a different campus club.

You can sign up for as many as you want. Just because you sign up doesn't mean you have to attend until the end. I suggest joining all the clubs that interest you. Just because the topic is interesting doesn't mean the club will be organized a way that you like.

It depends on the person, I found myself with tons of free times on my hands but instead of joining a lot of clubs I just joined 1 and chilled with my residence friends the rest of the time.

You can sign up for as many clubs as you want. Of course it's not a good idea to sign up for more than three or four clubs -- So only sign up for things you are really interested in and think you will commit to. As for keeping up with them, for the most part, you won't have problems keeping up with a few clubs. And there are so many members that usually no-one is going to care if midway you stop attending meetings and stuff.

There isn't a club for that...applications are sometime in Feb I think. It looks good on your application if you're involved in campus life, but you can do that with any clubs you're interested in.

Is tomorrow the only possible time to sign up for clubs? Or can you join them later on as well?

There's also a Clubsfest during Frost Week (first week of school back in January) but it's not as big as the one tomorrow.

You can also email the club (if you find their contact info on the MSU site, or elsewhere, or from people you know) or you can go up to people you know in the club, and tell them you want in. I'm sure they'll tell you the process

oh ok, but I was reading something and it said theres gonna be like a WHOLE lot of clubs tomorrow. A lot of the names seemed like just general associations kinda thing, but nevertheless clubs.

Not sure which would stay for frost week but are a general bunch of clubs open for new people during the term?

I would say the Sidewalk Sale is better for swag... The MSU will definitively be giving out MSU swag but for the other clubs it depends on their budget.
