Coffee and how much?
Hey everyone, I am doing some research about coffee consumption in university students.

How much coffee do you drink per day?
Why do you drink coffee?
What are the pros and cons of drinking coffee?

I would really appreciate it if you could answer these questions. Thank you!

Drank two thermos worth of coffee at the start of the year; down to one currently.

Habit mostly. Oddly relaxes me, and makes any sort of groggy-ness from a lack of sleep or early morning classes easier to deal with.

Wakes you up, allows you to talk about another interest with people, stains your teeth, can be addictive.

-one or two cups of coffee per day
-helps wake me up in the morning
-pros: caffeine keeps you awake, cons: definitely addictive

None really. Although I drink green tea/other tea sometimes. But since I'm not used to the caffeine, it keeps me awake forever, even if I was really sleepy before drinking it

According to the boffins who study this kind of thing for a living, you should not only keep it to two cups per day, but you should also actively seek to reduce your caffeine consumption in soft drinks and chocolate, and even over-the-counter and prescription medications. In fact, if there are other factors influencing your health, you might want to go even a step further and reduce the caffeine in your caffeine.

None at all, usually just tea.
If I need caffeine it usually comes from red bull.

I usually drink 1 or 2 cups per day. Much coffee suffers, mind that! Green tea is more useful!
