The results posted above actually say that YES won, which is incorrect.

"votes in opposition to the renewal of an exclusive contract with Coca-Cola on campus."

minor correction:

votes in opposition to the option to renew an exclusive contract with Coca-Cola on campus.

Wow, I really should have read it over before I copied it from the MSU website. My bad, it is NO with 1966 votes. Thanks Ben.

This won't change anything. This was a referendum on whether or not to allow the MSU to negotiate should the opportunity arise. Nothing was even on the table.

Ugh, so many people don't get what the whole referendum was about. Voting no to the referendum doesn't mean "more variety".

samd, sew12 all say thanks to Nino for this post.

The only reason why I asked cuz I saw it earlier...
"
2) We want healthier choices on campus
- more organic beverages
- more fresh juices instead of concentrated Minute Maid"

Also, in the presentation of results it doesn't count abstentions as "Valid Ballots". I understand why spoiled ballots aren't considered valid, but abstentions are valid and send a message.
