Anyone try and collect employment insurance (EI) over the school year? It would be a lot better than OSAP, and I'm pretty sure I can qualify for it. Anyone know anything about it?
I've heard that full time students cannot collect EI but I am not actually sure about this and cannot find anything to verify this information.

A former room-mate of mine collected EI while he was in school at Sheridan. If I remember correctly, he had to prove that he had less than 12 hours of classes per week... might have been 15.

Yeah I checked that out, and I could qualify for all of the points mentioned. Only thing is I wouldn't be trying to find a job, but I wonder if they'd actually check up on it.
As for needing less than 12 or 15, I'd be screwed first term.
