I was accepted into this program last may but decided to defer the offer for 1 year due to personal reasons. Recently on the facebook group for Commerce 2015 grads alot of people seem to be complaining about the exams (especially Comps Sci, Econ, & Stats) about how difficult they were? And how alot of them will fail out of Commerce. I choose this program since alot of former and current students told me it was very managable & and now I'm having second thoughts.

Comp sci was alright. Its the way the exam was written.. You couldn't wing it (5 choice MC). I did okay I think.

First year is a joke.

econ was harder just due to the blatent amount of cheating

there's a rumor going around that some first year programs are intentionally trying to weed out students due to the high enrollment this year.

First year was so laidback three years ago, guaranteed A with minimum effort. I'm unsure on the extent of difficult it is now though. I think the program usually weed out students during the 3rd year...especially in accounting. If that rumour is true, it's better that way so people don't invest so much on something they're not even willing to put effort into... Imo I think students are just less motivated to stay in the program...
