Conditional Acceptance Life Science
So I had to drop some courses during the school year and take them in summer school (over both terms), and my acceptance to the Life Science program for year 2 is conditional upon me completing these subjects. I tried to register for classes however and was unable to get into a few of them because it said technically I am not in level 2 yet. My question was, could I talk to an academic advisor or someone and be able to apply for my courses now, or will I just need to wait until August when I have completed the courses and then apply? Thanks!

Talking to them can't hurt and the worst that they can do is say that you have to wait, so why wouldn't you talk to them? You have nothing to lose.

I am in the same situation and academic advising has ensured that permission to register in the courses is available for me. They also advised me to send them a follow up email after summer school marks come out so they can adjust my program ASAP in case I want to make course changes later in the summer. I'm in Social Science but hopefully academic advising is equally helpful in all faculties.

@Menzies, what do you mean by "adjust" your program? Aren't you supposed to be granted permission anyways if you successfully complete and get the needed grades for the program? As in, isn't it automatic or do you have to e-mail them?
For me, because of my deferred exams my second year program is on hold/pending the completion of my exams. And also, when I go to SOLAR it says my registration opens the day after I complete those exams. Not sure how that is going to work out or if all Soc Sci kids or students in my particular program are choosing their courses during that time.
