Nice.
Down with MUGSI! Down with MUGSI!
Regarding getting into full courses, should be easier now since we get to pick first before High School students right?

I wish it was that easy. You do get to pick first. So 4th years>3rd years>2nd years>1st years in that order but also varying by faculty. But then the issue of limited seats comes in, where 3rd years for example can take all the open seats for a specific course you're looking forward to as an elective or something. So essentially, it doesn't get easier. I actually foudn course registration much harder this year than last year because there was one core for each class and a lot of classes were only offered once :(. I find it really depends on your faculty though.

Oh! I see. Didn't realize it goes 4th>3rd>2nd>1st. I just thought it was 4th,3rd,2nd>1st.
Has McMaster overall number of students went down? Is that why they reduced the number of cores?

Was totally raging a couple days ago WHEN I LEARNED THAT A PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT COULD BE DENIED ACCESS TO A COUPLE OF HER PSYCH COURSES, fuuuuuuuuuuuu
Glad I went to see the Associate's Dean. >.<
Was ready to stab a betch

Oh no, the higher level you are, you get the priority over those in younger years. Not really, if anything I would assume numbers of students went up. I think it's because of a lack of professors or budget? Also, I have 3/5 classes in the largest lecture hall (MDCL1305), so I guess having one core with 600 students makes it easier for the university than paying 2 or 3 professors to teach several 300-student cores. :(

Total enrollment has really gone down, its the amount the university wants to spend on running classes.
And i just wrote a simple sentence regarding the SOLAR/MUGSI = ABSOLUTE SHIT issue

I'm guessing you mean't "hasn't really gone down," because if anything there's more people today in university than before, and the numbers increase every year.

"Please provide the courses you were not able to register in"
rofl, that's going to be every 2nd year History course, 1st year history course, first year English course (except the poety one), psych 2tt3 and origins 2lu3...
Mine is pretty nasty, I'm tired and trying to scare them a bit...though since I'm in Science, and not something special, I'll probably be ignored:

I too wrote a short but sweet piece of why course registration sucks.
So glad to be graduating this year, no more SOLAR.
Making a schedule this year in particular was hell and I'm in 4th year so in theory I got first pick but really everything was still full and picking all the electives I needed to take to finish my degree was painstaking.
