Course Codes
Is there a legend somewhere for the course codes? For example, I know the numbers 1,2,3, or 4 refer to level, but do the letters A, B, D, etc. have any meaning?

The letters are far as I know have no meaning whatsoever, they are just there to differentiate. The numbers at the beginning do indicate level, and the numbers at the end indicate what term the course takes place in.

I think it depends on the faculty and department. For example in ECE we have 2CI5 and 2CJ4 which deal with Circuits and CI is taken before CJ. We have 2D, 3D and 4D courses which deal with Digital circuits and 2E and 3E courses which deal with Electronics.

For English/CSCT/Anthro/Indigenous Studies I have yet to figure out what any of the letters mean. Other than 3QQ3 is a continuation of 3Q03 for instance.

Don't the numbers at the end indicate how many units it is? lol

Yes. Most courses end with 3 and 6, sometimes 1 and 4. Those numbers indicate how many unit the course is worth.
In Social Science, I don't think the letters mean anything, other than to differentiate between courses.

LOL! Whoops, yeah, haha that's what I meant. 6 units take place during the year, and 3 either term 1 or 2.

I believe it's 24 units a year for 4 years.
The first ISci class started September 2008 if I recall, which is why there isn't much known/publicized about them yet.

I went on the master time table and it's actually 24, 18, 12 and 12. Crazy schedule... 2hour lectures 6times a week, two 2hour lab, one 3hour lab, one 4hour lab, one 2hour tutorial and one 1hour tutorial.
I think the first year might start this year though... because the second year course isn't offered.
