Course Codes
I have to take Engineering 1A00. I was wondering what the 0 on the end of the course code meant. Does that mean it's only one class?

Same thing with Engineering 1EE0 which I know is five sessions, but does the 0 mean that they don't count?

Thanks

It doesn't affect your GPA, generally these are pass/fail, and a short quiz online or something in the case of Eng 1A00. It's about lab safety. It's just a requirement to do early on in the year (like September, before your labs start).

Yup it's just an online quiz. No class involved.

Is Eng 1A00 just the one lecture though?

No lecture. You just have to do an online safety quiz for when you do your first year labs. Like WHMIS and laboratory rules. I think it will be available on ELM in August or so.

Not ELM, it'll be on Avenue to Learn.

It depends on the course specifically...like, Science 2C00 is a series of 8 'lectures' that you have to go to. As people have stated, they're usually pass/fail, and they don't count towards your GPA or the number of units you're taking in a term--you'd take the course(s) in addition to your normal course load. They're usually minimal work
