As a social science student, it tells me i need 12 units from the course 1 list, and another 18 as electives.

So how does this work, do I have to pick at least 12 units from this list, and another 18 from other programs, or can i pick all 30 units from this list of subjects provided to me?

At least 12 units from the list. The other 18 can also be from that list, or from other faculties provided that you meet the prerequisites.

You CAN pick all 30 from that if you want but I would suggest getting a variety of first year courses. You have the option of picking courses from other faculties as well.

I second kokosas. I wish I took a variety of courses in first year because now I'm limited in what i can take.

But yes, you pick 12 or more units from that list and then the other units can be from any faculty.
