Course Selection Disputes (Maths and Physics)
I have most of my time table planned out so far meeting all my requirements for first year life sci but, I'm stuck between the maths 1A03 and 1LS3. My main concern for this is would it effect my Lvl II programs or getting into med school (will it meet the requirements if i take 1LS3), also if I take 1LS3 am i able to take stats for Lvl II? With physics my situation is I took grade 11 physics did fairly well but, did not take grade 12 phyiscs. I do have the grade 12 physics textbook and do plan on studying it a bit for the duration of the summer so I'm some what on the same level as everyone else but my concern is 1BO3 and 1L03. I understand since I dont have the grade 12 physics I will be required to take 1L03 before I take IB03, so is there any benefit to taking both in my case and will it effect my Lvl II programs?

math 1ls3 and 1a03 are considered equivalent take 1ls3 if u want easy review of highschool math or A03 if u like math and actually wanna learn something
since u didnt take gr.12 physics u have to take 1l03 but some programs require u to take 1b03 by the end of 2nd year so u can take both physics in 1st year or take b03 in 2nd if u decide to go into a program that needs b03
personally I would get physics out of the way so u dont have to take it in 2nd year

I personally regret taking math 1ls3, but everyone was happy with their decision to take it. If you want my advice, don't waste your time and money learning things you did in high school, take math 1a03.
For physics, I suggest taking grade 12 physics in the summer so that way you don't have to take physics 1l03 and you'll save ~$600.

I didn't find Physics 1L03 to be as engaging as 1B03; I strongly recommend the summer school suggestion. You won't be wasting 3 extra units and saving some money as well. Physics 1B03 is a lot more enjoyable IMO, and probably more relevant to your future aspirations.

You can take it online or something. If you do take it, I'm pretty sure there's an age limit to TDSB summer school. And even then, it's only a month.
