yeah origins 2b03 is open for me too. Just to clarify, do we contact the profs of stats or our academic advisory or the math and statistics faculty?
I need to take a few first year courses, should i wait until it opens for first years before contacting?
Also, I have a question, if courses become open at 12 am for first years, can I get on mugsi half an hour early and will the courses open or do I need to have logged in at or after solar opens with more courses?

I've heard some stuff about reserving spaces for faculty members. Maybe the spaces for out of faculty students are full.

I was wondering how quickly you heard from the departments? I emailed faculty of science 2 weeks ago and never heard from them about a question I had and eventually just went in.

The faculty encompasses all the departments. So e-mailing the faculty may take longer since they probably receive more e-mails. I would suggest to contact each department individually or the professors themselves.

I tried emailing and never did end up getting an answer, this was the beginning of last week haha...so I finally did end up calling the department and I asked her...pretty much begged them to get it done that day. But it took a ton of phone calls and a heck lot of whining lol...but it paid off thankfully!
I'd suggest calling in and really requesting to get what you need done asap =) I'm still in a rut since i don't have 6 of my courses and they aren't "required" per se because I'm shadowing a program..I'm not sure whether to call the other departments and request for waivers or something haha

Well, I tried emailing the student adviser of science. I know it's a pretty slim chance they'll open a spot for me, but it's worth a shot I guess :p.

If that doesn't work, you can always try the professor ^-^

I just emailed a department head last night at about 4:00am asking for a seat in 6 classes that were full and required for my program and he replied by noon today and I'm all registered now. I'm very impressed with how fast he was.
Also Origins 2B03 was available for me at 3:30am last night I guess because I'm in the Science faculty.

Called the physics department today.
They said they are holding the spots for 1B03 since the first years havnt picked yet, and if its required for you, then on August 18th, when SOLAR opens up again, you'll be able to pick it. She said there are tons of seats so.
For anyone in the same situation as me...
bluecrush
says thanks to zango for this post.

zango, did you confirm your payment agreement already, even though you didn't add physics 1b03?

Also, for those of you who couldn't take Stats 2B03, what are you planning to take in its place?

I'm taking econ 1B03 in the evening.... yeah I can't find another choice right now. I don't want another course with lab, 3 is plenty for me.
