MATH 1A03
MATH 1B03
PSYCH 1X03
Term 2:
BIO 1M03
CHEM 1AA3

is this more or like a typical sched for life sci?

Although I haven't taken bio, psych or physics, this is (from what I have heard about the courses I didn't take) going to be a tough year for you

I wouldn't say that. It's an average schedule, and some courses are difficult, some are reasonable. Though I notice you're taking Math 1C03, do you plan on minoring in math?

I think taking a wider variety of courses, especially in first year, is the best so that way you can truly find out what you like and don't like before it's too late

If you're good at math/physics, then this is the perfect schedule for you.
As long as you're taking courses you enjoy, you'll like what you're studying which will help you get awesome marks

Be careful I know a lot of people who have gone in saying yeah I'm great at math i love math and then after first year they are like...okay maybe not. The good thing is that if after first semester you realize maybe math isn't your forte then you can always try to switch out and take something else second semester, and if you do well and want to continue then great!!
Good luck

It's definitely like a typical Life Sci schedule, however, do you plan on minoring in Math or are they just electives? It might be a little heavy with 4 math courses, however, if you enjoy math and work a little harder, your second term is definitely do-able.

yeah, math's my forte. i couldn't think of anything else to take other than math ( didn't like psychology either )
taking math 1c03 has nothing to do with minoring, cause it's a first year course ( they don't count this course towards a minor i believe ), but yes i plan to do a minor in math.

Since you enjoy it, then definitely stick with Math. It's better than taking a random elective you have no interest whatsoever in.
Oh right, thanks for the correction. But if so, that would be idea, since you'd be done 9 out of 24 units that you need for the minor .

The schedule is heavy but so are most first year life science schedules. The trick is to maintain an appropriate balance between work, rest, socialization and involvement. It is very doable and can definitely be accomplished with a little prioritizing and focusing on your health and stress before you start feeling burned out

actually since you like math and are taking all those math courses, your workload may actually seem lighter. I find that in math, there aren't assignments that are brutally long (like research, essays, etc.). There's just a few short assignments, midterms and an exam.
