Credit assignment from another university
Hey, quick question about how credits from other universities are assigned (or if they are) to Mac degrees.
I'm interested in doing an English course at Ryerson, and the equivalency chart says the course is equivalent to "1*03". This apparently means that the course is unspecified at Mac.
What I'm confused about is if the credits can be assigned to my Mac degree upon completion (since there's no direct match for one of our English courses). If yes, will the course just show up as "English 1*03" on my transcript?

I've tried emailing the English department, who directed me to the Faculty of Science, and I've not been able to get clear answers despite multiple emails. If anyone with experience taking courses/electives at other universities could shed some light on this situation, that would be great!

transfer credits
My experience is that yes, the credits are applied to your degree and show up as you indicated. Try talking to the Academic Advisor in your degree department to verify.

I believe that to have the credit count toward your degree, you must have a "Letter of Permission" from Mac.
