Has anyone taken it recently and can provide some overview on what the course is like? How hard is the marking? Is the material interesting?

I took this course in the fall 2013 session and I found it to be really interesting. From what I know is that the course has no midterm or final and is just comprised of three essays and participation marks. So just make sure to participate a lot in tutorials and always know the material because when I took this course we had this thing called 'cold calling' where the TA would randomly select someone in the class and make them answer a question. Other then that I found the marking to be fair but then again that all depends on your TA because they are the ones who do most of the marking in this course.

All in all it's a doable course and is fairly easy to get a 8+
