Pretty random time to quit (2 year left i think?).

Wonder if an interesting scandal will break next week.

(Also, did you know McGunity has a Bio degree from Mac?)

Ornge. eHealth. Power plant closures for dubious reasons. Caledonia. Delisting of OHIP services. HST. OLG scandal. Soaring energy and tuition costs. Slimy G20 laws. Continued deficits and terrible treatment of public servants including infringing on their basic right to collectively bargain. He was a tool, goodbye and good riddance.

Well, there are one of two possibilities. Either the person does or doesn't, and I was wondering which because that would affect my response. It's a question that someone could ask either way.

If the person doesn't, I'd say, obviously you don't have any idea why he resigned if you don't know what's going on in the world, so why would you bother posting that? And go do some reading

If the person does follow politics/current events, well, McGuinty resigning wasn't exactly the most straightforward thing...some bs about the liberal party needing new ideas? Anybody can tell you that that's just evading the point. There was an article in the National Post about it being due to the power plant ridiculousness, and that likely played a big role, but I'm skeptical that it's the entire reason.

However, simply saying "I wonder why" makes me think the person just has no idea about anything that's happened in Ontario politics...but I was trying not to judge too quickly It definitely isn't straightforward, and open to interpretation. It's not like he said "I'm resigning because I f*cked up this power plant cover-up" (for example).

Silver says thanks to starfish for this post.

Lol I tend to be blunt/direct, I think it comes off like that a bit too often :/
And then there are times when I am genuinely annoyed by the question and point it out intentionally
But more often than not, it's just me being direct, which doesn't really translate well onto the internet

Well considering the rumours circulating the federal Liberal leadership race I wouldn't consider it an entirely unexpected move.
