Not completely related to DC, but sharing anyways.

Any idea how to increase upload speeds on torrents? I think the school limits the speeds as after a dwonload is finished the torrent itself stops seeding completely.

There is probably no way to increase the upload speed. If we're assuming the school only traffic shapes P2P traffic (i.e. IRC and Torrents) then you might be able to get around it using a VPN connection to a really fast remote server or through torrent encryption, but that's probably impossible since Rogers defeated both of those three years ago, and I'm sure the school's ISP has probably adapted as well.

Just be glad that you can even download torrents .
