Deciding Between Two Courses
I can only take one of Biochem 2EE3 and Life Sci 3C03. I'll be pretty busy this term so which of these two has the less work? I've had Beston before so I know how he teaches and I heard Biochem is just rote memorization. Is this true? And is just people that didn't do well talking or is it actually ridiculously based on memory? Thanks.

In my opinion, Biochem 2EE3 is simply memorization but the course is definitely helpful as it gives you a solid foundation for many topics in biology and biochemistry. That being said, the material is quite heavy and sometimes you may be overwhelmed by the little details you need to remember for this course and the time required to study. I haven't taken Life Sci 3C03 so I cant comment on that but you should have a look at the course reviews to see if you can find something to help you with your decision.

Biochem 2easy3, obviously. You can easily get a 12 in this course. It's pretty useless though. I've pretty much forgotten everything from it as I can google it if I really wanted to know it.

From what I've heard, Biochem 2EE3 involves a fair amount of memorization and not a lot of people were expecting that much. I hear that Life Sci 3C03 is challenging at points but follows Beston's other courses in that his testing is fair and he's a generally great prof to have.
