Deferred Exam - Grade of F on Degree Audit?
So I deferred a final exam this summer and will be taking it in December. However on the degree audit, the course is showing up as a 'grade of F'. Is this how it's supposed to be?

Yes, I recall I had to go away during exam period for a wedding and thus had to defer an exam. The grade report stated an F until I had completed the course and the new grade was entered.

Well, it depends.

All it means is that if you get 0% on the deferred or fail to write it for some reason, your mark will be F. If you had a higher mark throughout the term, it could say D DEF or C DEF, etc.

F DEF just means you WILL fail if you dont write the deferred exam, because you do not have 50% of your course mark yet.

Yes, that's true. So hopefully your exam is worth a lot.

It says F because the office of registrar have not updated the degree audit. In some days It will hopefully say DEF and then once you give your exam then it will tell you what grade you got.
