dental plan
i checked my account statement, and one of them says MSU dental plan, what the hell is that?

Or you can get an extra checkup a year without piling on requests to your parents' insurance, possibly denying you of some coverage... its a great backup!

They throw insurance in which you can opt out of (deadline is end of the month) with proof of parent coverage

You need to look into what exactly your own insurance covers.

You are allowed to opt out of (ie. get your money sent back to you as a cheque) for the MSU Health Coverage and the Dental Coverage. BUT you need to have adequate insurance for health and dental (such as from your parents or work) to show that you're covered already. You can opt-out online, the link is on the MSU website.

Since you seem to know nothing about it, you should start off by reading the information on the MSU website. All of the procedures, what is covered, etc are all explained there.
