How Do I Check My Residence Status?
I was just wondering how I check my residence status. I haven't gotten an email yet telling me where I'll be living (I'm still unassigned) but I still wanted to see my status. Where do I go to do that? Is it on MUGSI? Cause I can't seem to find it :(

Taken from the Mcmaster website:

How do I find out about my room assignment? You will receive confirmation of your room assignment via email in June. Once you have been contacted, you can log-in to your residence application and view your room assignment under 'Application Status'

https://residence.mcmaster.ca / --> that is the link you need to go to in order to log in and check your assignment.

Thanks... I just did that and checked the application status. It doesn't say anything new though (nothing new since when I finished it)! Not even that I'm unassigned. Just that I completed my application and that I've paid my deposit. Should it say anything else?

Nope, just wait for an e-mail from housing telling you that you've gotten a room. It might take some time but since you were guaranteed a room you will get one. They'll probably end up converting doubles into bunks and lofts again.

Won't our roommates be pissed off at us then?

I mean, they thought they had a cool double with one roommatet, and here we are, turning it into triples.

Some people might be happy. Having another roomate means that they will meet more people and make more friends.

I'm not sure if they change the double rooms with people in them into triples. I'm sure they have empty rooms right now and are just waiting to see if anyone drops out of residence so they can fill in those rooms first. Then as the days pass by they will convert the empty rooms into triples if necessary.

I don't know if they actually do that since I haven't asked and they don't say but that would be the most logical method.
