So I'm in the mechatronics and management program. But I decided I don't want to do management anymore. So do I just not take the management courses? Or do I actually have to tell the school?

You have to go to an academic advisor and change your program officially.

Either way, it should be relatively easy to switch out. I switched from software engineering and game design to software engineering and embedded systems no problem halfway through second year.

Just get in contact with the chair of the department. As far as I know, it's now Dr. Farmer now.
