Your profs tell you which book to order on the first day of classes. But, if you want to get a head start and potentially beat out the other students in finding the cheapest used books, I'd either go and try and find the course website for your class or, if that's not made yet, email the prof directly!

No, welcome day is August 8th and the booklist doesn't come out until the 11th of August.
Besides, don't buy your books before you attend the class. If you decide to drop that class and you've opened the book you won't get a full refund. There are also some times when a prof will tell you that you don't really need the book but you can buy it if you feel the need. Just don't buy your books before the first classes, you'll probably end up regretting it at some point.

I definitely recommend waiting until you go to the class. The prof will be able to tell you exactly what is required & then what is optional.
Also, sometimes different sections of the same course could have different profs & therefore different textbooks. It is best to wait & see what your prof will reference.
which means sometimes waiting in long lines at Titles :(

Quick question while I'm here, what does the E O W on my timetable mean? If it means that the class is pending, or something, then I'd like to know.
