When do they release acceptance for 2nd year engineering?
I am missing one course to complete first year engineering. I will be taking it in the 2nd term of the summer. Do I have to wait until August before I know if I get accepted to my 2nd year program? Or will they let me know before that and it will just be a conditional offer?

I believe it's sometime in May, or at least once all the final marks have been processed and will come up on MUGSI.

As to your main question: there is a definite answer to it, I just can't remember (its been asked a few times on here and I can't seem to find it on search). I think its pretty important to get into contact with engineering student services to track this matter because sometimes, if the circumstances are not ideal, you'll have to ask/negotiate/plead to be accepted conditionally because the system is largely automatic and you may get the 'may not continue' message on the degree audit or MUGSI (or wherever it appears).

In any case, whether you work things out or get into the program you want (or not), if you really want to get into a particular program, be ready to 'shadow' it. This means taking courses the stream requires that are found on the undergraduate calender.

It's also a very good idea to take the engineering math courses as soon as you possibly can, because they're of the few engineering courses you can take during the summer, and it will decrease yearly stress If you're only doing one course in the summer, do this for sure.

I agree with Ryan. If you're here for the summer, look into taking Math 2Z03 and 2ZZ3. Almost every (if not all) streams have these two courses as a requirement.

As for getting into a particular program I do believe it would be something to the effect of 'pending successful completion of xyz course/s.' (this is if you have the required average for that stream).

Thanks for the advice but the course I'm missing is the calculus math for first year.
