Parents going to church gathering, I don't want to go since I'm the failure (all their kids are doctors, 99% student, etc and I'm not even +70%.) and everyone looks down on me (I feel very uncomfortable, and I can't say anything because my parents will lose face which is bad for me in long run). Brother taking the other car and goin partyin till dawn with his friends (as usual). Sister has her own car so she partyn all night long with her friends (most likely). Not going out this year cause I went last year, and its a pain for me (No car, I have to bike in winter) and my wallet to go every year.
tl;dr, bowl of fried rice, glass of water and vidya games this year. yea.
I celebrate Christmas with my family of course. I'm Filipino and my family do the traditional way of celebrating Christmas:
Every year my family and I gather to one of my relative's house and we eat food at midnight. That is called Noche Buena. Afterwards the adults would sing karaoke all night long. Filipinos are quite famous from singing karaoke all the time

In my hometown, I have an aunt and an uncle from my mom's side. Every year, each of our families has a holiday (I say holiday because they aren't always on or before Christmas) dinner, either homemade or out to a restaurant. After eating, us kids go play video or board games while the adults go chat such. So pretty much think of your family dinners and multiply it by 3.

Didn't think an engineer would feel like a failure at a family gathering...
Why don't you talk about some of the awesome physics concepts you learned in ECE and watch their faces when they don't understand
