How do you know if you've received the $800? Should it have been automatically given to you in the beginning of January when you pickedup your OSAP? Or should I be expecting a cheque in the mail (like for the TTG)?

According to the OSAP website:

"If eligible, you’ll receive the grant by cheque or direct deposit by the end of January."

Worth Mentioning

Apply for 30 per cent off tuition in the MUSC

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 12:00 AM.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, students at McMaster can apply for 30 per cent off their tuition right here on campus.
Representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities will be on hand in the MUSC between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., fielding questions and assisting with applications.
You could be eligible if: you're a full-time student; it's been less than four years since you left high school; you're in a program that you can apply to directly from high school; your parents' gross income is less than $160,000.
Please bring a valid Social Insurance card. Call toll free 1-888-449-4478 for more information.

Is this for people who aren't currently on OSAP? I still haven't received my rebate and I'm wondering if I should go tomorrow to check it out.

If you dont' have OSAP, you must apply for the tutition grant, based on financial need. I believe that is for people who are not on OSAP. Because OSAP students are automatically given the 800. So I believe it is
