Smiling ? Can I just stick out my tongue instead ?
Btw, there's only like 1% of girls who will start the conversation with a guy.
It is men who are competing for mating (in biological terms) therefore, men should be the initiators of conversations. And that's coming from someone who doesn't talk much to girls. I do wink at them all the time just to see 'em blushing. hehehe
Wow,, do they ever get pissed off lol

Hahaha, I just remembered MI; and this topic was on the front page. Good times, good times.
Mmmm, well - one of the best ways to meet girls is definitely to talk to them as it's been said several times before - but pretending you're a first year is kind of bad - especially from a males perspective in my honest opinion. Firstly, when the girl finds out you're a 2+ year student, it kind of leaves you on the edge of a scale really. Some girls might find it cute (in a maybe... pathetic kind of way?) that a guy would lie to try that hard, whereas other girls may just instantly flip the switch on that little escapade. Which is weird, because from the other perspective (a girl doing it to a guy), I'd be totally okay with this actually.
This thread is absolutely hilarious, tons of people pretending to be PUA's. It's hard to meet people randomly, I would say your best bet to find someone with similar interests to you is to join clubs, talk to the person you sit beside in class, be friendly and easygoing.
Most important of all, don't make getting a girlfriend/hookup your one and only goal, people can sense if you're doing this very easily; just try and have fun be a person you'd want to hang out with and it'll all fall into place.

Dear god why does this horrible thread keep getting bumped? I thought they were supposed to be locked automatically after a certain amount of time, it's like beating a dead horse. Even with all 240+ replies and nearly 20k views, I highly doubt this thread has helped even 1 person.
