do girls like shy guys?
Well im not really really shy in social settings, but I just prefer not to talk much.
My problem is I can't really tell a girl that I like her.

Im just curious, do girls prefer talkative guys over shy guys?
by talkative i mean outgoing

Well all girls don't like the same things in guys so no, not all guys will prefer shy or talkative guys.

Also I don't think many people would have anything against shy people technically but its kind of hard to get to know them or know they might be interested if they can't even tell you. I'm sure you can see why this is a problem.

I'm shy myself so I can totally understand shy guys but it becomes difficult when there's chemistry there and no one can get up the courage to just say something about it. I don't prefer talkative guys per se but it sure makes it a lot easier if I know they like me back, rejection pretty much sucks.

So in short I'm sure some girls would like you if you opened up a bit and gave them a chance to. They need to know you're at least interested.

you can't just group the entire female species together and expect a pattern in your answers. It just wont happen.

Personally, shy or not, I like it when guys get to the point.
If you like me, you can just go ahead and say it. It's brave, and most people appreciate it.

doesn't it all come down to the each girls own preference? they all have their own preferences but in general from what my girl friends tell me they prefer a fun, talkative guy who can keep things exciting and fun. But there are a few girls that prefer shy guys but not many really

Shy girls are awesome.

I'd choose them over extremely attractive girls.

This I also agree.
I personally prefer shy girls regardless of their physical attraction.
But not extremely shy to a point where she seems to have a social problem.

I would say that more girls would prefer a talkative guy, but there are still plenty who would love a shy person. Every person on this planet is unique and has their own sets of likes/dislikes. However, your opening post sounds like you have a particular girl in mind. Rather than trying to figure out the likelihood of her liking a shy guy by representative statistics of the MI opinions, I suggest that you try to get to know her as friends first. The friends stage works well for shy guys, you get to know her better, which increases the likelihood of a successful relationship, and you get more comfortable with her presence and it'll be easier for you to talk to her and thus ask her out.

I abhor shy people.
If I wanted to talk to myself, I would.

I love shy guys!

Oh... you mean real people. Well, in general, introverted people are more attracted to other introverts, while extroverted people are more attracted to other extroverts. But... it's kind of hard to let someone know that you're interested if you don't tell them or at least show signs of interest.

^ Epic win.

I'm a pretty outgoing, talkative person but if I run into a girl I'm suddenly really interested in, I'm screwed.
