That thread was in Off Campus Housing, but the reply is still valid.

Basically there is no cap on how much you can stream.

On campus you get 2gb/day of internet traffic before they throttle your connection to be painfully slow. Trust me on this one. it sucks really bad. You won't even be able to open avenue without 10 minutes of hitting the refresh button.

You experience the throttling recently?

From the replies it seems like they stopped it.

7 times last semester

Also it seems that if you get throttled, they lower your cap for the next day. I got throttled for 4 days straight once. hardly did anything on the 3 subsequent days aside from avenue quizzes and MI.

if anyone cares. I did a speed test while I was throttled once. DL speed was 12 KiB/s...

Since the DC++ is local traffic it doesn't count towards your 2 gb/day. Just thought I'd add that.

That explains why my internet was acting so strange today. I was watching...a show or two and then all of a sudden the internet just slowed down so bad i had to wait 5 minutes for a page to open lol.
