Does anyone know if the DC++ network works in the library internet ports, or does it only work in the residences? I'm moving into a house next yr and it would suck if I had no entertainment.

The reason for using DC++ over torrents is the speed, so yes, it works, but not in the way it is infamous for.

lol @ infamous.
DC++ is the reason your campus internet speeds are at least a little faster because the file transferring is LAN based instead of WAN based.

I have never been able to download anything from dc++ in the libraries. I could connect to the server, but I could never download. Although it could just be that my firewall was blocking things. Besides, nothing is on DC++ anyway since everyone has gone home.
