What does a full course equivalent mean? (U of T med)
I'm considering to applying to med school sometime in the next 2 years (I'm in first year). I was just viewing the prerequisites for U of T's med school, and it says the following:

"Minimum of two full-course equivalents in any Life Science and one full-course equivalent in any of the Social Sciences, Humanities, or Languages."

What exactly is a "full-course equivalent"???

Thanks for your help

Full course is another term for a full year or 6 unit course. If you take two half courses of the same subject, it would be considered a "full course equivalent" if that makes sense.

Okay... So would that mean I would only need two 3-unit courses (in the sciences; such as bio, chem, etc) and two 3-unit courses in the social sciences/humanities (such as poli sci or sociology)?

Well, a "full course" is six units, so two "full course equivalents" would be 12 units. You are correct about the soc sci though, could do two 3 units or a 6 unit.
