anyways uhm as i learn more science, i begin to wonder why intelligent human beings still have faith in the existence of the God when there is no observable evidence.

Who knows.. in 1000s of years, evolved humans might think weirdly about how ancient homo sapiens used to believe in Gods.

I won't touch on the rest since those lead into pretty sticky debates. however it is impossible for the the bible to work without some form of evolution. The bible gives dimensions for Noah's ark and it would be impossible to fit all of today's species of animals on the boat, therefore some form of evolution must have occurred since if you believe the bible. I don't see why evolution is argued against by Christians. I understand that they feel we can't have evolved from an ape-like ancestor as we are created by god(their view) but how can they reasonably deny that evolution has occured in other animals?

Read something to this effect in Life of Pi, makes sense:

I find it interesting that there are many religions. I personally try to draw the positive from many religions but probably most heavily from buddhism.

I think religion was a good way of controlling people as well as making sure they were good people in a MUCH simpler time.BUT in todays world where most people have common sense and good values in just doesn't make sense.
