Does McMaster have online subscriptions for the New Yorker or the Economist?
Hi,

I was looking to get into regularly reading the economist or the new yorker. I was discussing this with my friends at other universities who told me that I could possibly save subscription money by going through mcmaster. Some of their universities offer an online subscription to the websites of those magazines. I know that this is definitely a possibility, considering all the journal databases and similar that one can log into through mcmaster, but I checked around libaccess and couldn't find anything suggesting that one could access the economist or the new yorker.

If anyone knows, fill me in

Thanks in advance,
Anmol

You called your friends to discuss newspaper subscriptions?

How wild do your parties get?

So mean sometimes.

EDIT: I guess I could actually try to answer this, eh? Personally, I haven't heard of the university having a subscription to these, but I've also never gone looking. Your best bet may be to e-mail the library staff to ask.

It appears they do.
Go through the LibAcess login using your MacID (https://libraryssl.lib.mcmast er.ca...login.php?init) then search the e-journal portal - both came up for me

alh24, dumbconsumer all say thanks to Ashlie for this post.

Too crazy for me personally, but I can see how some people might enjoy it.

Update: a database called "Gale Cengage Academic OneFile" includes both of them, thanks to Ashlie above for the directions.
