One term = only happens in one semester only, either term 1 (fall term) or term 2 (winter term)
Second term = happens in term 2 only (January to April)

It depends on the course and how the registrar registers the course. It can be available in term 1 in one year or term 2 in another year. It can also be available in both terms in one year. There's also the possibility of a course being available every other year or on rotation
