At McMaster, yes. If you're on a LOP to another university, it'll be a pass/fail on your McMaster transcript. HOWEVER, if you apply to grad/professional schools then it will be counted into your GPA.

Just to clarify - LOP courses are pass/fail regardless of whether or not you take them in the summer.

If you are applying to professional school, some schools don't count summer courses in your GPA. So you'll want to look into that as well!
