It's an amazing game. Absolutely amazing. You should play it. ^__^

As for what steam is...no idea...'cause I already had bought a copy of this game before. I think it's just a sort of...I dunno, something that'll help run the game.

Steam is what is used to run it. Its kind of like what a browser is for web pages, when you open up your web browser you choose the site.

Steam is the same way except with video games, should you ever buy (or get for free) another game online that the company that made portal has, then it will run it through steam.

Dont worry, steam is safe, I use it and my friends have been using it for years

Fun fact: one of the lead writers on Portal and Portal 2 decided to refrain from cake jokes in Portal 2 specifically because he realized that he had aided in creating the worst fan base since Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Isn't it a good thing to have a great fan base? The first time i heard cake in portal 1, I thought she made a mistake or I was going deaf. I was never able to eat cake the same way after this game.

I think it's just an extension/extra cause it says "The free DLC, titled “Portal 2: Peer Review”, is available to all owners of Portal 2..." It doesn't seem like it'll be a free trial for people who don't have it like last week/2 weeks ago.
