hey I read the article about this program and its sounds good, but I was just wondering from past experience of people who did this, how much weight does this hold on a resume etc.. or is it really just for 'personal growth'? Also if I do do this can I use volunteer hours that I have already gained this year (for instance through Mac Ambassadors)? Or does it only count when I officially start the program? Any insight would be great, thanks!

Your hours start after you have completed the first 4 required workshops.

It does sound like a lot of fun. Hopefully it's not too stressful to take on with a full course load.

I know! With the crazy course load, none of the times for the sessions would fit into my crazy schedule :(

Lol, for sure, and with all the work I have to do for my five courses, I won't be taking an extra one anytime soon

Not that it is your fault or responsibility, but last year I took the networking one and it is appearing as uncompleted(and has been for a while). I was there on time and for the entire time but never got checked off for attending. I sent an e-mail like it says to do when there are discrepancies but no one has e-mailed me back, which is kind of rude. What do you recommend I do? It's not a big deal, but I do want to have what I have done recognized, especially since I can complete the program this semester.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Do we have to complete the required ones before the electives? I think it's a 'yes', but I'm hoping it isn't

Do you mean as prerequisites for the electives? No. You could do all your electives first and then the required ones in later years.

But just to add in, that's inadvisable because you'll want to get started on your 40 hours. Well, we have lots of time, since we're first years, but you know.
