I just saw "Drive" on the weekend and i have to say, as someone who doesn't follow Ryan Gosling his performance was amazing! The pacing of the film was a slow burn that emphasized the few action scenes with finesse.
The editing was fantastic and gave scenes incredible impact and depth; it's definitely a movie that will stick with me for a while.
What'd you guys think though?

Sorry to say but all round terrible movie. If you go in expecting an action film only the first 5-10 min are good. If you go in expecting a deep movie with lots of meaning and symbolism and stuff then you also leave dissapointed ... was very shallow
wow this movie could have been a masterpiece , Ryan Gosling was amazing but the movie could have been better on all other levels.chris nolan should have directed it not that dumb. the elevator scene was nice tho also it has a great soundtrack ...
7/10
would have gave it a 10 if it was a little longer (its only 1:35)

I definitely feel your frustration, the way it was advertised left you thinking it would have been a straight forward action movie, instead you got a slow-burn "memento-esque" film.
I'm not sure if i agree with the sentiment that the story being shallow, like i said before i left the theater very moved. It was nice to see something come out of Hollywood that wasn't a generic action film that was edited in a genuinely unique style.
To each their own

I went in not knowing at all what it was about (aside from hearing that Ryan Gosling gave a great performance) and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It wasn't the greatest I've ever seen but it was still a good movie, albeit a little slow.
It reminded me of Sin City for some reason. One thing I didn't agree with (maybe it was just overhyped for me) was how good Ryan Gosling was. He played the role well but I wouldn't give him any awards for it. Oh well, maybe I just didn't appreciate it the way some other people did.
All in all, a good movie that I'd recommend to anyone who needs something to watch. (screeners been online for what seems to have been a few weeks )
Edit: Oh, and I really enjoyed the soundtrack:
