dropping a course help plz

I'm in kin and I want to drop chem (an elective). This means that I will finish with 9 courses this year. Will I still be in honours kin next year with only 9 courses? As well, anyone know specifically which graduate school for physical/ occupational therapy care if I don't take a full on course load for first year? Oh, also for med schools, aside from UofT's (which drop the lowest mark/ yr if you take 10 courses), if there any other disadvantage?
