I'm not positive on that one but I can't remember seeing a DVD player in a res common room, only VHS.

i lived in hedden last year and every common room had a dvd player...only thing is some stupid people thought it was a good idea to punch the buttons into the dvd player so you can't push them, and the remote never had batteries so they were useless. really you dont even need a dvd player when you have dc++, me and my room mates just ended up downloading movies when we wanted to watch them...even if we had them on dvd haha

Or you can watch them on your computer if you have a new enough model. I lived in an older res so we only had VHS... and the buttons on that were useless too.

I lived in an...older (1960's) res and the only reason my floor had a DVD player is because we won a pumpkin carving contest...otherwise we would have had VHS like the rest of the floors.

I'm pretty sure all buildings have tvs with dvd players. Although only some of the newer ones I've seen have divx capabilities, which makes burning and watching movies so much easier! I hope McKay does cause I'm living there next year! Actually I just figured out how to stream dvds from my computer to the television from the xbox 360 so we could always do that. See you there pinkpony!

Mitch, as other upper years have posted NOT all buildings have DVD players but they do all have TV's in the common rooms.

lol yeah that would be nice wouldn't it? Unfortunately Housing doesn't appear to have the money for that although they DID replace Brandons, Woodstocks and Whiddens furnishings. I don't know if they did any of the other res' though.

haha it's hard to believe that they just replaced Brandon common room furnishings. I swear, those couches looked comfy, but they were the hardest pieces of furniture I've ever sat on. I feel bad for anyone who spent a night trying to sleep on one of those couches.
