Easy courses/professors
Out of my personal experience, I found that courses taught by sessional lecturers tend to be more straightforward and as a result less difficult. I am just curious if others have had similar or opposing experiences.

In a class where it's a multiple choice exam, I found the sessional prof easier. In essay based courses, I've found sessional profs to be much harder graders. It depends on the school they come from I think.

I don't think you can make a blanket statement either way. Some sessional lecturers are excellent. I've had more bad ones than good though, since they tend to not have much idea of what they're doing.

I've only had a few sessional profs so I can't really say. However one that comes to mind is Sonnenburg (who taught water and natural disasters 2 years ago) and yea those two courses were VERY relaxing during then. Good times.

Sessional professors are definitely easier! My sessional professor had a full-time job at Xerox and as a result was always busy. Too busy to make students' lives miserable that is!

Having a good experience with one sessional prof doesn't mean you can generalize to all sessional profs

I found I like the teaching style of sessional since they tend to be less theoretical and explain many of the concepts better, especially if they are younger and just finished the program they are teaching. They remember how they learned it so I found them easier to understand (for day classes)

I think it entirely depends on the course, sessional profs can sometimes be easy markers compared to regular ones because they haven't been working and marking nearly as much so they tend to be more lenient. However, I've had easy sessional profs for some of my essays but they sometimes tend to be more difficult when it comes to exam questions and multiple choice. It's impossible to guarantee that it happens with all sessional profs though.
